CQC inspection readiness

Know what an inspector will ask, before they ask it

Mock inspection, written action plan and optional ongoing support — led by a sitting CQC specialist adviser for general practice.

Most providers who struggle at inspection are not delivering poor care. They are delivering good care that they cannot evidence quickly. The inspection visits the record, not just the room. We prepare GP practices and homecare providers so the evidence is already in place.

What an engagement looks like

  1. 1Scoping call — service type, registration history, previous inspections and what is keeping you awake
  2. 2Mock inspection — a structured review against the current inspection framework, including records, policies, staff files and conversations with your team
  3. 3Written report — findings against each key question, with the evidence gaps named specifically
  4. 4Action plan — what to fix, in what order, and who owns it
  5. 5Optional retainer — quarterly review, evidence checks and support as changes land

What we won't claim

We will not tell you we can get you a particular rating. We prepare you so that the inspection reflects what you actually do. Where we find something genuinely unsafe, we will tell you plainly and early, because that is the point of the exercise.

Who this is for

  • GP practices approaching inspection or re-inspection
  • Providers bringing a new registration to first inspection
  • Registered managers who need an independent view before the inspection team arrives

Capacity

Advisory is deliberately limited to two days a week so that every engagement gets proper attention. If the diary is full, you will be offered the next available slot rather than a rushed start.
